Baed in London, the Bolton Sofabed Company was launched in the UK by Interior Design expert Lavinia Bolton in 2005.
Now in 2009 we have the pleasure of announcing the launch of the Bolton Sofabed Company in Ireland, to be run by Carina Slane.
This family owned company has specialised in creating a versatile product that has become renowned for its elegance and comfort.
Frames
To date we have four original designs available the 'Lavinia', the 'Carina', the 'Melissa', and our latest design, the 'Sophie'. Every sofa bed has been built to the highest quality using solid beech frames. This is a kiln dried hardwood which is then glued, screwed and dowelled. For your convenience, we have fitted the Sofabeds with unscrewable legs, which can be made in any colour. Furthermore, to overcome the difficulties of moving furniture into awkward spaces, we have designed bolt-on arms and a bolt-on back, therefore eliminating any spatial issues that may arise, these can be ordered at an extra coat of 25% for each option or 40% for both.
Furthermore, it is possible to have a Bolton Sofabed made solely as a Sofa and can be ordered in any of our design sizes, however the cost remains the same as the cushions have to be supported.
Mattresses
Our 10cm luxury mattresses are made in England, they are pocket sprung with black and white ticking covers, and made with the highest quality foam and felt.
Springs
To achieve our high comfort we have used a traditional technique know as the Heritage method. Our mattress has been hand sprung using super loop back springs which are hand tied onto a webbing base and then careful hand sewn into a Hessian top to form the sprung seat.
Sofa Cushions
To set off the high quality of our frames and mattresses our sofa cushions are made using a Reflex Core wrapped in duck feathers. It is also possible to order additional Scatter Cushions, which can be made using Wellman 100% Fiber or duck feather scatters 18" or 20".
Fabric Facts
All Bolton Sofabeds can be provided in the Bolton Sofabed linen mix fabric, available in 29 colours (not all shown on previous page). However, all designs can be made using the Customers own fabric. If a fabric pattern is used, the pattern repeat is required. The Optional Bolton Fabric is fire retardant
Additional Features fitted on request
Scotch guarding is advisable for paler fabric colours at a cost of £130. It is possible to have a skirting added but at extra cost (price on application). Arm caps are £90 a pair plus the cost of 1.5m of fabric.
